This article is a high-level overview of how to add a new field to your form template in the Template Editor, both in the Form View and in the List View. We use a simple Text field as an example. The following articles provide additional detail.

To add a field, simply drag it over from the Template Fields panel into the Template Builder, and size/position it as needed.
|In the Form View, this means using drag-and-drop to move and resize the field. You can also use the Display properties area of the Properties panel to fine-tune size and position.||In the List View, this means dragging the field to the appropriate location within the tab/section hierarchy.|
|In the Form View, this means setting up the field’s behavior and metadata under the Field heading, and setting up its appearance and layout under the Display heading.||In the List View, this just means setting up the field’s behavior and metadata under the Field heading. The field’s appearance and layout is more standardized, so Display properties are minimal.|
And that’s it, you’re done! Adding a table is a little bit different from other fields and is covered in detail here.
